A Supplemental Service to Face-to-Face Tutoring for English and Math

This service is provided as a supplement to face-to-face tutoring, but does not take the place of a live tutoring session. It is a convenience for those who cannot make it to campus for some reason but who may have a quick question for one of our tutors.

If we do not have a tutor available at the time your email is received at the Center we will reply to your request as soon as one becomes available. We will try but cannot guarantee to respond to your e-mail within 24 hours. We do not access e-mail on weekends, vacation breaks or in the summer. Check the college schedule for the current dates.

Ethical Etiquette for E-mail Tutoring

Start Here> How Does E-mail Tutoring Work?

You must read the information on "How does E-mail Tutoring work?" BEFORE you can E-mail your questions to our tutors.

ArrowWe cannot do Online what is against our policies in a live tutoring session.

For example:

We cannot do a math problem or any writing assignment for you over e-mail.

Our policy prohibits tutors in our Center from doing any assignment or part of an assignment
for you.

We cannot e-mail you a direct answer for an entire problem. For instance, if you e-mail us a math problem, we cannot e-mail the answer back to you. If you send us an essay, we will not send back a corrected copy. Focus your question to get the most benefit from the tutor.

As mentioned above, we can only describe the appropriate method, step, concept and/or rule or principle. We cannot provide for you any type of direct answer to your assignment that could be used by you to turn in, in place of your own work.
